That's Claira's eyes every time we go to the mall's elevator. I wonder what she was thinking when the elevator's door closed coz her eyes suddenly becomes big. haha It's really fun to watch her reaction. ^_^

Addicted...
After almost 3 months of staying in the house with Claira, I now figure out that going to the mall is a good place for me and Claira to hang out. In the past, I avoid going to the mall coz it's a little far than going to the stores closer to where I live. And because it's hot outside, I try not to go out when the sun is still out. The mall has a parking lot under another parking lot and as long as we go there before 3:00 pm then we'll have a good place to park the car. Now I am addicted to go to the mall. It seems like I wanna go there everyday. hehe I don't know, I just like the feeling of looking other people there with their kids, babies, friends or partner enjoying the surrounding and having fun. Besides, walking inside the mall without sweating feels good while Claira enjoyed looking around. And because I'm addicted to go to the mall, I went there again yesterday with Claira. We shop for my MIL's clothes and we had a good deal because one of the store there had a one day sale. We're lucky that we went there yesterday. I hope my MIL will like what we bought for her. If she doesn't like some of the clothes that we bought then Claira and I will go back to the mall this coming Monday or Tuesday to return the clothes. We might shop again some more clothes for my MIL next week if we're up to it. :)

Sleeping baby
Claira is now a good sleeper. She was sleeping longer at night for 7 to 8 hours and that's 2 days in a row that's why I now have the time to blog again. hehe I hope that she'll make it a habit so I can sleep longer at night too and won't be feeling weak and sleepy during the day.

Update...
I think you noticed that I'm not updating this blog everyday and that's because I'm busy, busy, busy. I sometimes think how lucky the moms in the Philippines are coz family, friends, relatives and neighbors can help taking care of their kids for free. Here in US you have to pay the babysitter per hour which is expensive for me that's why I prefer to take care of Claira and just stay at home rather than paying somebody to take care of my baby. When I first brought Claira with me for grocery shopping at Target, it was a lot of work and I was sweating, thirsty and tired when we arrive home coz it was very hot outside. I felt sorry for Claira coz I have to bring her even if it's hot outside. It feels like we're inside the oven while we're in the car but I have to bring her or somebody will call the Police for leaving Claira at home alone. That's why I told hubby that shopping for me now is a chore and not fun anymore.
Wait a minute... I noticed something different lately. I enjoyed shopping with Claira last Monday and Tuesday. Yeah, it was hot outside and again I felt bad for Claira. I was determined to go to the store last Monday because I want to buy something that is on sale. The next day Claira and I went to the Mall for more sale items and we enjoyed looking around, buying some stuff and chitchatting at the food court. Yeah, she now like to talk even if she can't form words yet. Then I saw some moms bringing their kids and babies at the mall. There was one mom bringing her 5 kids at the mall. I don't know how she manage to do it but she doesn't look like she's tired. What amazed me just by watching the mom is that she had 2 sets of twins. I think her eldest son is 7 yrs old followed by 2 sons probably 4 yrs old (twin) and 2 babies in the stroller (for twin) sleeping. She's by herself, no friend, no husband or nanny to help take care of her 5 kids. For me it's difficult but she looked okay and not yelling to her sons who run around the food court. Hmm My point of view about shopping changed while watching the mom.
I think that going out with a baby or kids is not that hard if you are determined to do it and think that you can do it. So now I want to bring Claira to the mall once or twice a week if I'm not busy. It's fun watching her reactions when we were in the mall. I think she enjoyed looking around so I stayed a little bit longer there. We both had fun and looking forward to go next week! ^_^

Claira's Baptismal
Yesterday was Claira's baptismal. My Pinay friends were there except for one who went to Virginia for a vacation. She said that she might be late but didn't heard from her on that day so I don't know what's going on with their travel. Anyways, she had a proxy which is also one of my friends here. The Church where hubby and I registered has a different policy when it comes to baptism coz parents and Godparents should attend the baptismal preparation class and if the godparents are catholic, they have to ask a letter from their church (if they are registered from other Church) that they are practicing Catholic and qualified as Godparents. As for me, the one present during the baptismal are Godparents unless if the reason why the Godparent wasn't able to attend the baptismal is really a good reason. I was disappointed and feel bad for Claira that I chose one of her Godparents who didn't prioritize the important event of Claira's life. She told me that she's available by June 14 for Claira's baptismal and won't go to Virginia with her friend. Oh well, if I only know...
I'm still thankful that my friends were there to witness Claira's baptismal. The night before Claira's baptismal.

Sleeping beauty
Claira is now heavier and bigger. Sometimes my shoulder and arm hurt from nursing her. Oh well, that's life. She also like to be entertained and she sometimes talk back though she can't say the words correctly yet but she tried which made me laugh and smile.
Here she is sleeping...

Enemy or what?
It's about the bad smell that I mentioned in my previous post. The guy from the apartment office wasn't able to find where the smell came from coz I think he didn't smell it when he came over. Maybe because it was raining a little bit on that day and the wind blows the smell away. After a couple of hours the bad smell is back but I thought maybe I'll just wait for hubby to come home and he'll decide if he wants to report it again. Hubby came home and noticed that the bad smell is still there. After thinking of what the smell is, he thought of our neighbor's gas grill. So he uncover the grill and he was right coz he heard the "pssssst" sound from the gas tank. To his surprise, the grill is on and the gas tank is also on. He turned both off and decided to go to the apartment office to report it. Good thing nothing happened or else the building that we're in will be on fire. Hubby also thought that if our neighbor didn't do it then somebody did and maybe it's his enemy who want him dead. Who knows coz he smoke outside (I think) or maybe it's his visitor who smoke outside coz I can smell sometimes that there's somebody smoking cigarette outside. The person at the apartment office said that what our neighbor did was bad. They'll contact him about what happened and if it will happen again, then they'll kick him out. I just hope that it won't happen again coz there's one apartment building here before that was burn because of an irresponsible tenant who's using gas for cooking.

What's that smell?
I am still sleepy but here I am checking my blog, my Friendster, chatting thru YM and surfing recipes. Why?
Well, I was in bed when hubby left for work but hubby told me to call the apartment office later to complain (so they can investigate) about the nasty smell outside. We notice it last night when we arrive home after visiting my MIL. We didn't know what the smell was but I smell it in the kitchen this morning. Hubby asked me of what I think about the bad smell... if it’s meat or what and I said maybe its meat. Hubby then thinks that maybe it's a dead animal or worst a dead person at our neighbor’s apartment. Hmm I hope it's just garbage but I notice lately that our neighbor didn't come home to his place. I only saw him once and sometimes see his car outside (maybe only 3 times) but that's it. I can't help but think "what if hubby is right that it's a dead body"? So I get up and call the apartment office coz I can't wait til later. I really hope that it's just forgotten garbage.
