Me and my pinay girl friends were out yesterday for our usual ladies night out once a week. A friend of mine told me that her husband warned her about the weather so she called me and told me about it coz I was planning to bring Claira with me since hubby said that he'll be home late. I checked my cellphone for the weather and it only says scattered thunderstorm and isolated thunderstorm. I thought, maybe not in our area so it's okay. I was getting ready to go out so I called hubby of what time he exactly come home. He told me that he's getting ready to be home so I called my friend and told her that Claira will stay with hubby. As soon as I arrive at the parking lot, the rain started pouring really hard with the strong wind, scary sound of thunder and lightning. I thought I'll be stucked in the car! I can feel the car was shaking a little bit from the strong wind and I can see the trees blown by the wind really hard as if there's a typhoon. I waited for a while til it's not too windy or the wind will blow me away. haha Good thing I have a jacket inside the car so I used it instead of umbrella. As soon as I saw a man running from the restaurant to his car, I went out from the car and went to the restaurant. Whew! That was a scary one! I thought there's a tornado coming! hahaha We enjoyed our dinner though and went to the bookstore after. Too bad I didn't bring my camera for some pics of the weather and the food. :)

New sleeping position
Here's Claira with her new sleeping position. She started sleeping on her tummy when she was able to master the rolling over thingy. I'm looking forward to know of her next sleeping position once she learn how to crawl. haha

Vacation at SeaWorld
I’ve been to Orlando Florida once with my dear hubby for our vacation. We drove there coz it’s within driving distance. We had lots of fun at SeaWorld by watching awesome shows like Shamu, the crowd and a lot more. Now they have a new roller coaster ride called Manta. I’m not a roller coaster fan but hearing the scream from those who ride the roller coaster put a smile on my face. I had fun listening to them. I can say that those people are really brave and I’m pretty sure that they had fun riding the roller coaster. I know somebody who really loves to ride a roller coaster, my sister and her husband. In fact, they went there for their honeymoon because of the rides. haha Anyway, in the manta roller coaster you will dive deep and fly high as if you’re riding a giant ray. It really looks beautiful. So if you’re a fan of rides, you better try the manta yourself. Here’s the nice part. You buy a ticket to SeaWorld and you get a ticket to Aquatica or Busch Gardens for FREE! How cool is that! If I don’t have a baby right now, I would like to grab this opportunity coz it’s a very good deal. It’s like buying one ticket for two parks! It’s really nice to be there and I can’t wait to go there again with Claira. Hubby and I are planning to go back there someday so Claira can experience the fun we had. I’m sure Claira will love going to SeaWorld.

New in FB
Yeah, I'm now a Facebook member and it made me nuts! Why? I have a lot of relatives there. I had no idea that FB is where most of the people go. It seems that everybody's checking their FB all the time. I had fun but needs to figure out about other features. :)

Sandwich
I am not crazy about sandwich in the past but now I sometimes crave for it like the one in the picture below. I love Newks grilled chicken sandwich, tuna sandwich from Subway and the chicken sandwich from Quiznos. Now my mouth water thinking about these sandwiches. Yum! :)

Movie date
Yeah, I want to watch a movie with hubby if it's possible. Too bad, the movie theater is too loud for Claira.
I'd like to watch the movie Julie and Julia coz it's about cooking. Well, I guess you all know that I love to cook or shall we say like to experiment when it comes to cooking. hehe I started to like experimenting when I was in College coz I like the result of experimenting the chemicals from our Chemistry subjects. And because hubby is very supportive of me when it comes to cooking, I also want him to watch the movie with me which is impossible for us to do because of Claira. Hmmm Isip... isip. ^_^

Roll-over
I'm not talking about the cellphone's airtime minutes or a car accident, I'm talking about Claira's accident last night from practicing of rolling over. As usual I went out with my friend for our ladies night out once a week so hubby was the one babysitting Claira yesterday when the accident happened. Hubby wanted to go to the bathroom so he put Claira on top of the swivel chair with the boppy as her pillow. Hubby said that it happened so fast, as soon as hubby arrived the bathroom he heard Claira scream then cry. So hubby checked on Claira and there he saw Claira on the floor already. Hubby called the Pediatrician right away and told the Doctor about what happened. The Doctor said that it's okay coz the height of the chair from the floor is not too high and the floor is carpeted but the Doctor was surprised to know that Claira started to roll over already at her age. The Doctor said that it's too early for Claira to start doing it.
Well, Claira started to roll over when she was exactly 1 month old and she stopped doing it as she gets bigger. Now Claira's been practicing to roll over after hubby told her early this week that once she learns how to crawl, she can go wherever she wants to go and doesn't need to wait for us to take her to the place where she wants to. After 2-3 days of practicing, she can now roll over both ways... not just one way. We were so amazed to watch her rolling over by herself last night and she's practicing more this morning. She even positioned herself last night to crawl. Now I have to spend more time watching her moves or try to always keep her in a safe place so there'll be no accident again. The only thing I noticed after yesterday's accident is that she doesn't sleep longer anymore. I have to wake up every less than 4 hours just like when she was a newborn baby. Oh boy. I'll walk like a zombie again. huhu Here are Claira's pictures this morning trying to master the roll over thingy. :)

Claira and me
Here we are two weeks ago. Notice the stuff around? Different huh! Yeah, Claira has more than one theme and that's because some are hand-me-down stuff, others were bought and some were printed thru the printer. And well, there's more drawings coming so Claira can study them. :)

Who doesn't love babies?
I heard it many times to people we know and even strangers that there's something in the baby that made them so special, in fact others said that Claira is an angel. Well, I think all babies are.
We have a neighbor here who's an older guy who asked me if he can see my baby someday coz he said he love babies. A kid at the restaurant and the store also asked us if they can see the baby and last Sunday when hubby and I visit my MIL at the Assisted Living Facility somebody asked if we can show Claira to her mom coz her mom wants to see the baby. An older guy said "I want to see the baby too" and some just look from afar coz we're ready to go. It's a nice feeling how people here adore babies but of course we still have to be careful that no sick person will touch Claira or Claira will be sick. Here are some photos of those who love babies. hehe

Pool Party for Asia
The daughter of one of my ladies night out friends had a pool birthday party last Saturday. She's now 3 yrs. old named Asia and of course Claira is invited together with mommy and daddy. My friends went swimming with their kids except me and another friend. The husbands enjoyed eating and chit chatting about cable TV connection, house, kids and etc. We were there for I think 5 hours then we went home at 9:00 pm. We the wives enjoyed the food too coz each of us brought something that we know the Pinays want to eat. I brought the eggroll, Ilocana made pancit bihon, Jane brought escabeche (sweet and sour fish), and Anne brought sinigang baboy (pork stew). We had fun and the host is planning to have another cook out+swimming before the kids go back to school. They've been inviting me to join even if Claira can't go swimming with us yet coz her Pedia told us to wait until she's 1 yr. old. We'll see. There are 2 swimming pools here too but we went there once for this year and only hubby went swimming because of that doggie that went swimming in the pool too. Yikes! :)

Experimenting on smoothie
Here I am again experimenting on making a smoothie that will satisfy me and hubby this summer season. The one in the picture is a mango watermelon smoothie and yes, it's delicious! I want to make a healthy version of a smoothie so in the past I use splenda but this one I didn't add any sweetener and it still taste yummy. The only problem is I always have a brain freeze every time I drink a smoothie. haha

Tummy time
Claira doesn't like the tummy time. She always complain almost right away after we put her down for the tummy time so hubby and I decided to trick her with toys in front of her so she will be interested to look at the toys and forget about the tummy time. Well, she still won't stay long with the tummy time but at least we tried what we can. We don't want her to be disappointed about tummy time so everytime she complain, hubby or me will pick her up. Here she is doing the tummy time. :)

Happy 6th Birthday Henry!
This is Henry (Ilocana's son) celebrating his 6th birthday last Saturday on the 4th of July. It's the first birthday party that Claira attended. I know that Claira won't remember of what happened so we just took a picture of her and the birthday celebrant before we went home (as a remembrance). :)

Touch Touch Touch
That's Claira's new skill this month. She learn how to touch and grab stuff. I noticed that she like to touch the washcloth and the burp cloth so I let her play with those so she can practice her new skill. Here she is doing the touching skill. It's nice to see her develop little by little. :)

Fussy Baby
Claira's been fussy lately that's why I'm not here to update this blog again. Last Wednesday when we went to the mall Claira was screaming. I tried to calm her down but nothing worked. She only stopped crying when we're outside the mall ready to go home. She fall asleep when she's inside the car and only woke up when hubby arrived home from work then she started crying again. Hubby and I were wondering that the cause of her fussiness is because she wasn't able to have a bowel movement for 2 days which maybe made her uncomfortable. Hubby decided to call her Pediatrician yesterday but the Doctor said that it's normal not to have a bowel movement for 4 days coz it only means that Claira's little tummy is adjusting from the food that she ate. A few minutes after hubby's conversation with the Doctor, Claira was able to go. haha I think she's feeling better now. She just want to have Daddy and Mommy's attention maybe.
I noticed lately that Claira is happy if she can see me and hubby giving her the attention she wants or even if we're just around her. Spoiled? I hope not. If I'm not around Claira wants all her daddy's attention. Hmm Hubby told me that he tried to entertain Claira and fed her to stop her from crying but sometimes what he did won't work and Claira only stop crying when I'm home or a few minutes before I arrive home. It made me wonder if she wants us together all the time. hahaha I hope we're not going to spoil her. Well, the Doctor said that we can't spoil the baby until 6 months. I don't know. Maybe it's just a baby thing. But I also noticed that if Claira is sleepy, she fuss too. I hope she'll stop being fussy someday once she knows how to talk. As of now we have to figure out of what's wrong coz she can't talk yet. That's how exciting parenthood is... You suddenly become a psychic. hahaha
