Hubby went to bed at 1:30 AM, then I followed hubby to bed to go to sleep but remembered that I have to take my anti-biotic pill for my tooth implant. After I took the pill which already cut in half, I went to bed again. Later, I noticed that the pill stuck in my throat. It happened to me once this week also that’s why hubby cut all my anti-biotic pills in half. When I told hubby that the pill stuck in my throat again, he was worried. I get up and ate pork rinds thinking that it will help push the pill in my throat then I drink water after. I went to bed again but still I can feel that the pill is still stuck in my throat. I get up again and went to the kitchen to eat orange hoping that it will help. While I was eating the orange, hubby followed me to the kitchen… worried about me. Hehe He then told me that maybe next time I’ll just chew the pill or maybe cut it into smaller pieces so it won’t be stuck in my throat anymore. I don’t really like the taste of the pill and so I reacted that I don’t like the taste. Hubby suggested that maybe I can hide the pill in a food so I can taste the food and not much with the pill. I did not finish the orange coz I thought that the pill was not stuck in my throat anymore so I went to bed. But then again I can feel that the pill only moves a little bit but still stuck in my throat. Oh boy, I don’t know what to do anymore. When I lie down, the food I ate wants to come out in my mouth. So hubby said that maybe I just have to sit or stand up for a while. I sit down for a few seconds then decided to just go back to the computer and finish the orange while waiting for the pill to slowly go down into my tummy. I copied different kinds of recipes already from the internet but still the pill won’t move downward. It’s almost 3:30 AM and here I am, still in front of the computer waiting for the pill to go down into my tummy but it didn’t work. Plus I think I drink too much water that I can feel the food in my tummy will still come out if I lie down. Huhuhu Maybe I’m sick or I got an acid reflux. This is making me nuts. My eyes are tired and wanted to take a rest but half of my body won’t cooperate. I better force myself to sleep; this is giving me a headache already.

oh that happens to me sometimes, but then I actually realized that it just feels like its stuck but its not there anymore. HAHHA :)
oh, that's hard!
hope you're feeling better inspite of not getting enough sleep.
take care!
hala ka kuyaw ba ana! hehehehe, chewing is ok, but ifthe pill tastes awful...its hard...just drinlots of water after taking the pill, maybe it will help. btw...cbox is unavailable...done voting !!!
kayciies: i wish mine too is just like that but when i touch my throat trying to help the pill to move to the center coz the stuck pill is located in the right side of my throat, i can feel the hurt inside. i just didn't force to let it move or it might get worst. i was just hoping that i won't end up in a surgery because of that.
mummy sheng: yeah, i tried to eat bigger solid foods hoping that it will help the pill to move into the right direction but it didn't. i just thought that maybe the pill will soon be dissolved in time and it did this morning when i woke up. so happy that i can't feel that there's something in my throat. hehe
butchay: hubby was suggesting about chewing it but the pill taste bitter. he even told me to wrap a slice of liverwurst in it then eat it so the liverwurst will help the pill taste milder but i don't want to chew it really. i noticed that when the pill touches my taste buds, i lost my appetite right away and doesn't wanna eat anymore or the rest of my food. that made me lost 2 lbs in just 1 week. the water didn't help either, it only made me more full or shall we say stuffed that I almost throw up coz there are lots of water in my tummy already. hehe
thanks for the concern girls, i guess i know what to do next time when it comes to taking the pill. hehe thank God, i just finish the prescribed anti-biotic pill yesterday, so today i'm not gonna worry about it. :)
happened to me yesterday, I will let you know what I did. Yes, the pill got stuck in my throat and I panicked as I could not breath. I just kept drinking the juice - glasses and glasses - and finally I could breath. But the pill felt like it was still there down just a little. About l/2 hour later, I went to the ER and was seen by a doctor. He said that the pill did go down the throat, but it scraped the esophogus and so it feels like it is still stuck there. He took an x-ray just to be sure it was gone. He gave me Sprite to drink just before the x-ray, I think it was to make sure if there was any residue from the pill that it would dissolve before the x-ray. The doctor told me that my throat was going to hurt for up to a week. And, yes, it does. I am eating "soft" foods until the pain goes away. Yes, this was a frightening experience, to say the least. From this time on, I am going to crush all big pills, or make sure that the ones I get at the pharmacy are small.
