A fellow blogger emailed me about my blog as phishing site whenever she tried to visit. I have no idea what phishing site means and what it can do to my blog but I noticed yesterday that there’s not much messages in my cbox compared to the previous days but still my counter shows that I still have visitors coming in. Hmm Can somebody tell or teach me about this phishing site thing? You know that I am so dumb when it comes to this and I know for sure that there are bloggers out there who are smart when it comes to this blogging thingy. Thanks in advance. I will appreciare it if you'll leave a comment here that I can study and experiment later. :)

Hmm...how can it be a phishing site? Kilala mo ba yung nag email sa iyo about it?
Phishing happens when someone, say an email from someone pretending to be from a bank or a company and tries to get personal info from you.
Here's an example I got in via email:

The link they provide is usually their way of getting your info so never click a link.
Not sure how your blog is a phishing site though. If you know the person who told you about it, ask what message she gets that made her/him think na it's a phishing site.

Thanks Julz for this info. It was another blogger who emailed me about it and I didn't really know her that well, only thru visiting her blog.
That's some kind of an interesting "accusation". As far as I know, phishing only happens when you're distributing "spoofed" email messages with return addresses and links and it usually appear to come from banks, insurance agencies, credit card companies, and other businesses. The phishers only purpose is to trick the recipients into disclosing personal information.
So I don't think your blog is considered a phishing site at all.
Yeah, very interesting. I'm confused coz I replied to the blogger who emailed me about this but the email I sent to her was sent back to me. I was like "What?" Because I hit reply which supposed to be the TO is her email address but when I read it, it's still my email add. I don't know what's going on here. It made me nuts.
Hi Michelle, how are you? i still didn't get the email from you. can you please tell me which email your sending it too. sorry about your site. i didn't mean to accuse you that your site is a phishing site. 2 weeks ago i visited your site and my firewall Kaspersky recognizes some Blogspots as phishing site. Actually not only your site, as well JK site and I've learned that both of your sites are made through Blogger.com. I think it's not your site, I guess the problem is with Blogger.com (blogspot) maybe they are using your site as phishing without your idea. Maybe what you can do is, you can email or contact them about this concern. or else you can change to a new service. your site is quite interesting & it's quite a pity if the Blogger.com is using it in as a phishing site. i guess you have my email add, you can email me directly, ok?

Hi Tin, I understand what you mean. I only posted this because I don't know what it means. I wasn't thinking that you are accusing me. I guess, if I was in your place and encounter the same thing, I would do the same too if I care for the blogger coz if I don't then why bother. Thanks for your concern, I appreciate it really. I know that I can only get answers thru posting and it works. I still don't get it why my blog is phishing site coz I didn't try or even plan to get other people's personal information. I think I better talk to my husband about this. I haven't mention this to him yet coz I thought it's not a serious problem but if somebody is using my blog for illegal purposes then that's serious to me. Again, thanks for letting me know about this coz I really have no idea if you didn't tell me. :)
