A Frozen Memory

Last Wednesday I was re-arranging the stuff in the freezer coz I need more space for my Filipino foods again from the gatherings that I was invited. Hubby teased me that he only have 1/4 of the stuff in the freezer and the rest are mine which is true. -_^ I had my pen and paper ready so I can have an inventory of what's really inside or else I'll forget that I still have foods that are ready to eat and meat that needs to be cooked. I then noticed that most of the stuff inside are mine. haha I have left over of lechon, blood pudding (dinuguan), eggroll, beef caldereta, menudo, fruit salad, rocky road chocolate (from my Aunt), chicken caldereta, dried fish, smoked fish, sab-a banana and more. I also have frozen horseradish, pandan leaves, 5 kinds of Philippine fish, squid, fish balls, shrimp balls, grated cassava, shredded young coconut, and more. Whew! I was amazed of how much food I have inside that I need to use first before buying a new one. Aside from all the foods, I also preserved the flowers on our wedding day. I put it inside a to-go box from cracker barrel coz it really fit well. I hope we can keep it in good shape til we die. I was happy to see that the flowers didn't changed color and still intact. It's a memory that hubby and I will treasure forever and it's hidden in our freezer.

Here's our frozen wedding flowers with a little ice on it...

yes, the color of the flowers really didn't change. now i know that putting the flowers in the freezer is one way of preserving it. i was just experimenting at first but it works. i'm glad i did it. :)
