Yesterday hubby and I went to Cathedral Cavern here in Alabama. While waiting for the 4:00 PM tour, hubby and I were chilling at the visitors center waiting for the rain to stop also. This cave is called the "World's Greatest Underground Spectacle". It's the World's Largest Cave Entrance and the World's Largest Cavern Room. They offer a 1.3 mile (round-trip) walking tour of a world class show cave. We were walking along a smooth, concrete walkway with handrails and there are areas with inclines/declines of about 45 degrees. The temperature in the cave averages 58-61 degrees year round and there's no breeze. It's our first time going there so we didn't know that it's cold inside. Brrrrrr! Here are some photos we took yesterday. Enjoy watching! :)
Behind me is the cave's entrance. The water is dripping from this formation and it really looks so nice. Water is falling from higher pools to lower pools. In this picture the light was shined on a formation to create a shadow in the appearance of President Lincoln lying down. And this is the trail going out.
