11 Months Old

... that's my little one Claira, she's now 11 months old. We went out today to celebrate and because the sun was out today, we decided to go to the nice outdoor mall here. Claira enjoyed looking around while hubby and I enjoyed eating at a Steak and Seafood Restaurant. We had a little conversation with the waitress who served us...

Waitress: Is she (Claira) your first and only baby?
Us: Yes!
Waitress: Ahhh She's so cute.
Us: Thank you!
Waitress: Are you planning to have another one?
Hubby: Maybe
Me: Yes!
Waitress: You should! The result is good! (smile)
Us: LOL haha
Waitress: She's beautiful!
Us: Thank you! (smile)

Getting Stronger

I'm talking about my little one Claira. She's now getting stronger, crawling fast especially if she have something on her hand that she doesn't want you to get. She's grabbing heavy books like my cookbooks in the kitchen, her thick story book and we were amazed how she moved the heavy tripod. She's also exploring more in our house. She now likes to go into the shelves, under the table and coffee table. I wonder what she's thinking these days but it seems that she wanted to know if she'll fit in a small space and try it. She can now stand up without holding to anything for a few seconds. Soon she'll be running around. haha

Too many

Yeah, there are too many things in my mind that I don't know what to do anymore or write here. In short, my mind is not working well lately or maybe I'm just getting old. Waaaaaaa I hope not. I'm just busy doing things here and there and trying to relax if I can so I won't go crazy. hahaha Hayyyyyyyy Buhay Amerika, masarap na mahirap.

Butiti

I'm assuming that all my readers are Pinoys that's why I use Butiti as the subject of this post. Yeah, Butiti... that's me now. (sigh) My tummy is growing just like Butiti and I wonder of what the cause is. Though I know that I've been eating sweets lately like the Girl Scout cookies and chocolates before and after Valentines Day but I've been eating too much rice too plus no exercise. I know that there's no reason for me not to have time for exercise if I really want to but I guess I need an inspiration to motivate me. I tried not to spend too much on the internet anymore but then I found some TV shows that I'm very interested in... "The Doctors" and "Doctor Oz" shows. Those shows are very educational so I watch them almost every day. I wonder how other women manage their time. I really don't want to become Butiti. I guess it's nice if there's someone out there who would like to become my walking buddy thru the internet. Sounds weird? I think so. I was thinking that walking with somebody in person is kind of impossible coz everybody's busy and have different schedules so I thought that maybe a friend online who also commit to walk every day if possible might be a good start. Anybody interested?

Funny Kids

I was reading the Parents Magazine and had a good laugh of how kids think. So here I am sharing the best medicine. Enjoy! ^_^

Small Talk (from Melissa, North Dakota)

My 14 month old son was babbling to his 5 yr. old brother, Ben. All of a sudden, Ben turned to him and said, "Dude, I don't speak your language".

Mixed Menu (from Tiffany, Iowa)

I noticed that my 4 yr. old niece, Abby, had picked up a slice of cheese and a piece of cake from the buffet at a family gathering. When I asked her what she was eating, Abby looked at her plate and said "matter-of-factly, Cheesecake".

Body Art (from Kate, Michigan)

On a family trip to the beach, my 4 yr. old nephew, Alex, was walking to the bathroom with his father behind a man with tattoos all over his back. Alex looked at his dad and said, "Uh-oh. Looks like someone got a little crazy with the markers".

Making Cents (from Abigail, California)

My 6 yr. old, Hayden, was talking to her grandfather about our family's heritage. He observed that I was one-half Swedish, which made her one-quarter Swedish. Hayden quickly replied, "So, when I have kids they will be one penny Swedish".

Dirty Fun (from Sarah, Maine)

I came into the living room to find my 3 yr. old son, Damien, sitting in his chair squeezing a bottle of aloe-vera gel onto the floor. I asked what he was doing, and without looking up he said, "Just making a mess".

Character Confusion (from Shimaali, California)

While looking at an outdated books of planets with my son, Diren, 3, I explained to him that Pluto had been taken off the planet list. He thought for a while and then said, "Did Mickey get taken off the list too?"

The Meal Deal (from Karin, Ohio)

I was fixing a whole chicken for dinner and asked my kids which was their favorite piece to eat. My 4 yr. old son, Connor, said he liked the hands. I explained that chickens don't have hands, and he said, "But what about chicken fingers?"

Are you too busy for your family?

I am overwhelmed of how I spent my day doing a lot of things but not satisfied of the things I've accomplished in 1 day because I know that tomorrow there'll be more stuff to do and less time for family. Sounds familiar? The list of chores keeps going on and on. It's unbelievable! As what my friends said, household chores are unending especially if you have a baby which I totally agree. I guess I can't be the superwoman which I thought I was. (nangarap ng gising) I'd rather be a supermom and super wife. As we all know, TV is good but it's not good for you for health reasons and I think you heard that over and over again but then we sometimes spend a lot of time sitting in front of the TV or the computer. I was thinking that this is a good reason to abstain for lent. So now I try not to watch too much TV and even limit Claira for watching her DVD's so we can move around and do something else. In replacement to that I turn ON the radio to my favorite station that plays old and new songs. This way I can do something while listening to music, sing if I like the song, dance if I like to dance, play with Claira and sometimes carry her, hold her right hand with my left hand and dance as if she's my partner. And you know what? It felt so good that I was able to make my baby smile. She loved it! Soon my baby doesn't need mommy's time and attention anymore. It would be sad to look back knowing that baby's grow so fast and we can't turn back the time even if we desperately want to.

Spicy Shrimps just for ME

Yeah, a plate full of spicy shrimps cooked just for me yesterday for our dinner. Isn't it sweet? I really felt so special but I hope I won't become fat for eating them all. hahaha This Chinese Buffet that hubby, Claira and I went yesterday was recommended by individuals that knows hubby. So hubby decided to try going there today or he'll forget it. I was glad that they have a lot of seafoods but when the waitress asked me if I want spicy shrimps I said YES right away without thinking of how many shrimps I'll get. I just thought they'll cook some for everybody but the waitress delivered the shrimps directly to our table. Anyways, I wasn't able to try all the seafoods they had because of the spicy shrimps. How I wish I have a big tummy so I can eat all the seafoods I want. hehe Joke! I think God gave me the little tummy for the little me. ^_^

The spicy shrimps cooked just for me. Woohoo!

My first plate. I gave the chicken to hubby so I have more room for the shrimps. Yum!

Got this in my facebook and think of sharing this so this won't happen again... Please READ...

As received, I'd like to share this very important warning message for the hardworking fellow kababayans abroad who
are going on vacation to the Philippines ....

Gagamitin niya and kanyang cellphone at

KAPAG NASA PILIPINAS.
IWASAN PO NINYONG DAMPUTIN ANG ANO MANG BAGAY NA MAIIWAN NG MGA KUSTOMER NA AGAW-PANSIN.

IPAALAM PO NATIN ITO SA LAHAT NG ATING KASAMANG OFW AT MAGING SA MGA
KAMAG-ANAK NATIN NA NASA PILIPINAS.

HINDI PO TAYO NAMUMULOT NG SALAPI PARA NAKAWIN SA ATIN NG MGA WALANG PUSONG NAGPAPAKILALANG ALAGAD NG BATAS ANG
SALAPING ATING PINAGHIRAPAN, PATI PO ANG MAGANDANG PANGALAN NATIN AY KANILANG
SISIRAIN.

Quezon City ..

Daddy, you can let go now

A very nice video shared by my friend in facebook. I was teary-eyed while watching this, deeply touched coz my father died when I was 8 yrs. old. Growing up without him made me think most of the time of what my life would be like if he's still alive. I know most of us can relate to this video. Enjoy!
